FABIO FERRACANE FARM IN THE GUIDE TO THE FLAVOURS AND PLEASURES OF SICILY 2019 BY REPUBBLICA

Presented at Palazzo Abatellis in Palermo, the Repubblica Guide features eleven young Sicilian winemaking companies.

The Fabio Ferracane Farm has been included in the Guida Ai Sapori e ai Piaceri della Sicilia 2019 by Repubblica. Now in its third edition and presented at Palazzo Abatellis in Palermo last November, the Guide is an ideal tool for those who want to experience the Sicilian territory by taking a "journey" through the food and wine excellences of our island.

In fact, the Guide includes 858 restaurants in Palermo, Agrigento, Caltanisetta, Catania, Enna, Messina, Ragusa, Syracuse, Trapani, 418 food shops, 96 charming residences, 29 oil producers and 11 wine producers including the Fabio Ferracane Agricultural Company.

In this edition, the authors' choice is to tell the story of wine in Sicily by selecting "eleven young companies that, together, each in its own way, manage to give back the picture of a fresh, dynamic, tenacious Sicilian winemaking, with an important female component. Eleven small companies behind which there are just as many great stories to tell."

Regarding the Fabio Ferracane Farm, the book tells the story of a winemaking reality linked to the valorization of the territory in compliance with ancient family traditions, a reality guided by the passion for the art of making a wine as natural and genuine as possible. A separate box is dedicated to the Cellar and a third to Fabio Ferracane who aims to valorize the Catarratto grape variety declined in its three versions, in tank with 7 months on the lees for the Guanciabianca version, the Macerato and the Vendemmia Tardiva Elisir while the bottle recommended by the authors is the Guanciabianca 2016.
