Scicli – The discovery of the places, with the possibility of tasting the best Sicilian wines and enjoying a breathtaking view of Scicli, from the top of the Colle della Croce, on which is located the ancient convent that hosts 24 wine cellars for the three days of “Rubino | Rotte del Vino”.
Objective achieved yesterday, on the first day of the event organized by the SEM – Spazio Espostitivi Monumentali group. Over a thousand people have already visited the ancient convent reopened to the public for three days thanks to the collaboration started with the Superintendence. Last night, as was easy to predict, there was a sold out for the beautiful concert of the Antonella Leotta Quartet whose sounds enchanted the many spectators present in the sumptuous Palazzo Spadaro.
Also appreciated were the “Dinners with producers” organized by the restaurants that joined the “Rubino” project and that promoted the typical products contained in the “Carta dei Sapori di Scicli” in combination with the wines. Also today, starting from 10:30 this morning, numerous visitors reached Scicli and the Convento della Croce (exclusively by shuttle bus) for the wine and local product tastings and for the scheduled activities that will later also be developed in the historic center with the mini course on how to get started with wine, the guided tasting of wines from the “I Vigneri” cellars, the “Dithyrambus” art routes and installations and the first appointment with the “Giardini Sonori”. Interesting was the interaction that was wanted to start with the world of social networks thanks to the hashtag #SEMrubino and with the presence on the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+ channels.
“Rubino” has aroused the interest of experts and highly followed bloggers who are practically “live” reporting the event to the varied world of the internet. Scicli, the wines and the discovery of the territory have been mentioned several times in recent days by important travel blogs such as “NonSoloTuristi”, one of the most followed in Italy, and by important travel influencers and blogs of tourist interest. Among the curiosities, it is worth mentioning the presence of Sicilian bloggers who know the territory well, write about food and travel and develop a different approach to territorial communication, just as foreseen in the objectives that SEM has given itself. In fact, Vincenzo_Fortuna of Bocconidimarketing.com, the blog of marketing tips and recipes, and Giuseppe Santo and Marika Raffa, creators of the blog “I Love Sicilies”, are present.
They are telling the story of the “Rubino” event with numerous posts, highlighting the beauty of the places, the quality of the wine production and some curiosities about Scicli, thus contributing to a further channel of diffusion to the full advantage of the area.
